I have made this course book to give children a general education in music. It is also nice if, besides learning to play the recorder, they also know what music is, what kinds of music there are, how to read music, what a G clef is and what rhythms are, what instruments there are, and what kinds of orchestras and types of music there are - the children learn the language of music!
With this course I want to make them widely acquainted with all this. Thus, they learn recorder and are generally trained in music. They also listen to different instruments and pieces of music. This booklet is a story and action book that can be read and told together by parents after class. You can also use it together, parent and child, as a reading challenge for children in the age of 4,5,6. The lessons in the book can be treated interchangeably.
You don't necessarily have to follow the lesson order, but you can focus on what the child likes or needs the most at that moment. I work from my own feeling at that moment in the lesson. Sometimes we play rhythms on the tambourine and play some recorder from the recorder book and other times we sit behind the piano or play triangle and drums and so on and learn what a marching band is and how a flute sounds.
It is always varied and interesting and as a child you get an enthusiastic, spontaneous, very musical teacher who will teach you a lot in a playful way or you can make something beautiful out of it together with your mom or dad! You can read and learn from this book even up to grade 8 of primary or first grade high school! It can also be used in addition to a digital music teaching method for extra depth in music lessons at primary school.
